We are in Korea!

Exactly 23.5 hours after we left for the airport in Omaha, we landed in Seoul. Everything has been smooth so far - the flights all on time, luggage arrived along with us, the van driver was holding a little sign with our name on it to take us to the hotel. Its very dark here now (its a little after midnight, on Monday) so we don't really have our bearings yet. My first impression of Seoul is that of New York City. Its a large, metropolitan city (with the newest, smoothest, fanciest highways I've ever seen). Everything seems a little bit fancy here. Even the baggage handlers were wearing white gloves.

As I write this, Tim is trying to find a TV show to watch in English. Good luck, Tim. He just found Korean ESPN - Taekwondo tournament. Now he's watching two guys discuss how to play chess, in Korean.

Anyway, we met another family on the Van who is adopting a baby as well. They pick up their little guy about 1/2 hour before we pick up Alex on Friday. They are staying at a different hotel, but hopefully we'll see them again. Speaking of hotels - ours is clean and nice and has one of the most complicated toilets I've ever seen.

Its off to bed for now. We will try to catch up on our sleep tonite and do some exploring in the morning. Then the big meeting... we get to meet our baby for the first time tomorrow at 4pm. Can't wait. We'll post photos as soon as we can! Goodnight.
